The Head Coach

Chris Wells graduated from Salesianum in 1990.  He went to University of Delaware where he first took up the game of rugby.  He played at U of D for 8 seasons and graduated in 1995.  That fall, Chris earned his first coaching position as an assistant coach for Salesianum Football where he coached until 2008.

In the spring of 1996, Chris assisted Coach Mike Rendle for the Wilmington Colts high school rugby club.  Coach Wells became the head coach of the Colts in 2001 and remained such until 2008.  In 2009, he founded and began his first year as the Head Coach of the Salesianum Rugby Club.

Salesianum Rugby

The Salesianum Rugby Football Club is a non-varsity sport that is supported, but not funded, by Salesianum School. 

It is available to any Salesianum student who is both academically and behaviorally eligible by Salesianum, as well as DIAA, standards.
